LaF p 5 alternative

A small, brown dog emerged from the shadows beneath the large oak tree. The dog had it left ear upright and the right was flopped over, it also had markings the likes of which Reaper had never seen. The dog was a light brown color with darker brown back and arrow markings on each foot, and shoulder as well as both ears, its eyes are what annerved Reaper most they were white as snow and as empty as death. Reaper glared untrusting at this strange dog, finally it spoke, “You are Reaper?” it said.

“I detest that nickname, but yes I am “Reaper.” Reaper said, the continued, “Who are you?”

“I am just a simple messenger, I have a letter for you.” The messenger said.

“That's strange, who would send me a letter in the middle of nowhere?” He pondered, “How did you find me out here for that matter?”

The messenger grinned, “I was given this letter by a Thylacine, with a nick in his left ear, and a bell that makes no sound. As for how I found you, I am a fabulous tracker.”

“A thylacine?!” Reaper was shocked, first he dreamed of a thylacine and now he is sent a letter from one? What could it be about? “I don't know any thylacines, there must be a mistake.”

The messenger looked very irritated, “I don't make mistakes,” it snarled.

“What is the letter regaurding?” Reaper questioned.

“I don't know, I don't read my client's sealed letters, I just deliver them.” It snarled as it handed Reaper a pale envelope with a bright blue seal and Reaper's name written very carefully in a beautiful caligraphic style with blood red ink on the front. Reaper carefully opened the envelope, the bright blue seal burst into flame as he peeled it off. The content was a single piece of tan parchment paper.
